The question was, who? Jenny Barringer was the NCAA champion and defending U.S. champion, Anna Willard was the previous year's NCAA champion, Galaviz had the fastest mark, and then came the fact that the women's steeple has a habit of re-inventing itself on a nearly annual basis to produce a new trio of faces to knock off the old.
